THURSDAY FEB 2 – Oregon Jewish Museum Presents

Oregon Jewish Museum presents…

with Gideon Freudmann (of The Portland Cello Project)
+ St. Even (WW voted his album, Sprit Animal, the #2 Record of 2011)

Heeb Remixed is a night dedicated to emerging Jewish musicians and songwriters. Folk-pop band WEINLAND headlines and guest-curates! Presented as part of OJM’s six:social playground. Everyone welcome!

This is going to be great event and it is open to everyone! We’ve been asked by OJM to help curate a night of amazing music with artists and acts from our community who have Jewish members.

It will be a rad night for WEINLAND specifically because it will be our first time playing with our original line up in quite a while!! Please come check it out and enjoy. Also because we were asked to hand select the bill and I am so excited to announce our supporting actings:

Gideon Freudmann:
Gideon is a good friend of mine who happens to also be a very inspiring songwriter. He is the man behind several of the Portland Cello Projects most notable pieces and is the composer of, my favorite, “Denmark” which has won several awards for its composition and amazing music video! Watch it here:

St. Even:
I am excited to have St. Even on this bill for two reasons: 1) His name has come up several times as someone to watch, someone who is going places, and an all around fantastic songwriter. 2) Further demonstrating his building reputation, Willamette Week called his lastest album the #2 Best Album of 2011! This is an incredible honor, especially when you consider the records that came out last year. You can read the piece here:

Please help us spread the word!
